What we make
How the price is built
Your price is always shown in the same order, and it never changes shape:
- material and hardware at cost — we pass these through, so there is no markup on them to discount;
- our work — cutting, edge-banding, assembly;
- your discount, if you have one, taken off our work only;
- HST, added last, on the discounted subtotal.
Trade and referral rates stack, up to a ceiling. A trade rate applies once we have verified the HST number or designer code it depends on; until then the order is priced at the ordinary rate.
Payment: a hold first, a charge later
When you order we place a hold on your card. That is not a charge: the amount is reserved, not taken. We then confirm the material with our supplier.
- Supplier confirms → we charge the held amount and production starts.
- Supplier cannot supply → we release the hold and charge nothing, and you pick a different material or walk away.
On a two-part order we take 70% up front the same way, and the remaining 30% against the same card when your order is ready.
Changing your mind
Before production starts you can cancel and we refund in full. Once production has started — once material is cut to your sizes — a custom order is not refunded for a change of mind. This is what the tick box at checkout is about.
That is separate from a fault. If what we made is not what you ordered, or is defective, we replace or remake it at our cost. Tell us within 14 days of collection or delivery and send photographs of the parts concerned.
