Privacy Policy

Browsing the site and configuring cabinets requires nothing from you: the project you build stays in your own browser until you place an order, and it is cleared when you close the tab.

When you place an order we collect:

• your name, email address and phone number — to confirm the order and keep you posted;
• your billing address — our payment processor requires it to take a payment;
• the order itself: sizes, materials, quantities and prices.

If you register as a contractor or designer we also collect your HST number or business website, because they decide whether a trade rate applies.

The help window on this site is answered automatically, not by a person. When you send it a question, the question travels from your browser to our own server, from there to the workflow service we use to run the assistant, and from there to a third-party provider whose language model writes the answer. Some of those providers operate outside Canada, which means your question may be processed outside Canada.

Because of that, please do not type anything into it you would not want leaving our systems — no card numbers, no identity documents, no health or financial details. You never have to use it: a person will always answer orders@getcut4u.ca, and nothing you send by email goes to a language model.

We keep the questions and answers so we can see where the assistant was wrong or unhelpful and fix it. If you leave your name or contact details in that window, we treat it as an enquiry and handle it exactly like any other enquiry described above. Ask us and we will delete your conversations.

• our payment processor, to take payment;
• our material supplier, to confirm what your order needs — the order details, not your contact details;
• a delivery carrier, if you choose delivery;
• the workflow service and the language-model provider behind the assistant, for whatever you type into that window — see the section above;
• anyone we are legally required to disclose to.

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a correction, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to orders@getcut4u.ca and we will answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
